Unfortunately :/

Actually I’ll start this post on a positive note. I finally succeeded in getting my transfer at work, I’ve been trying to make this happen since the advent of October (yeah, it’s been that freaking long). Anyway, I’m thrilled with the new situation, but there is a catch. My work schedule is going to be a killer for a few weeks before it evens out. Due to this, I am not going to have the time to post for a bit & must take a few weeks off from this blog that I love. I will miss sharing, but there is little I can do at this time.

Fantastical Friday: Handfasting Recap

Well, it finally happened. Our handfasting went rather well, the actual ceremony was pretty simple & not very long. Given that I went on & on about this event, I thought you all might enjoy some of the video that was captured, as you will be able to clearly tell, we can be pretty silly. Seems we had some sound issues when live streaming to facebook & the teenager I put in charge of my phone didn’t finalize the one she captured, so it remains silent. She was also a terrible camera person & the phone flips many, many times, enough to make you dizzy. Needless to say, I’m not sharing that video, if you’re interested it is on my personal facebook page (my name is on my about page & I am totally findable on fb with it). I captured my sister’s stream (that was an adventure, trying to get fb to let me download it, lol), my man did a few audio edits on the longer handfasting video so you can actually hear him talking, though it was deemed unnecessary with the comical cake video as the best part of the joke is seen clearly through his expression & body language. The video quality isn’t super high, so you can’t really tell that my earrings are dangling spiders, or that there is a spider dangling from the web necklace I’m wearing, still all in all I think it turned out pretty well. I’m also including a few stills pulled from the vids, not that you can see everything clearly, but still, gives me an image to feature. πŸ˜‰ I hope you’re all having a blessed day! ❀

Only one more Friday before Halloween. πŸ˜‰ Naturally, I’ve been considering the makeup look to go with my wedding getup. My costume is red & black, so I’m working on a look to go with that. All of the items selected for today’s post are just concepts at this time & I’ve chosen Walmart to do most of my looking about, as there is one very close to the house. I’ll be doing my shopping in person rather than online, this list is just the beginning of my process for the last important detail for my big day.

Fantastical Friday: Mom’s B-day

So this week is a little different. My mother’s birthday is October 4th & thought it might be cool to talk about my process of finding the right gifts for people. First, it’s important to know the people we buy for, I mean really know what they like. In the case of my mother, she loves dinosaurs. Documentaries, movies, etc, if it’s about the dinos it was made for her, LOL. She doesn’t like comforters, so getting her a dinosaur comforter is out of the question despite the change in weather around her big day. On the other hand, I know she doesn’t get out to the theaters, like ever, so she didn’t go see Jurassic World. I haven’t seen it either, which is really unimportant to this discussion, but she is totally in love with the series, so getting her a copy is the perfect solution to the gift problem. She doesn’t have a blu ray, but she does have a DVD player. With all of this in mind, I went to the local Walmart, searched around & managed to uncover a couple of copies on DVD. Couldn’t get it online because she would see the package in the mail & ask about it, LOL. Mom doesn’t read my blog on any kind of regular basis, being a daily mail addict, working 5 days a week, still having one teenage child & numerous local grandchildren, she really has limited personal time to find spoilers on the internet (side note: she doesn’t have facebook, twitter or G+ which covers all of the major social sites I promote my blog on, LOL).
