Unfortunately, my drive controller is dying. My computer is a laptop, which makes the problem outside my ability to fix. I can’t edit pics & do my usual uploads until my new computer arrives. Had to write this post from my phone, which is not something I’ve ever done. My new system should get here sometime around the 12th & I do hope it gets here much sooner than that. My best wishes to everyone, I’ll return as soon as I can resolve my horrific technical difficulties.
I had an entirely different post planned, it was even written, but the shop I was promoting decided to drop me. They invited me to affiliate with them, my blog hasn’t really changed in that time, but suddenly I wasn’t good enough for them. Somewhat related, my wedding dress, the event being planned for Halloween, has already been supplied by them (not free, I bought it). Perhaps they would have felt differently had I remembered to use my affiliate link to place my, around $125, order. While I do sometimes promote shops & items that do not come from my affiliate programs, this particular store has trampled my toes into mush, I won’t post about them until I get more in depth about my coming special day costuming. So anyway, instead of the costume for the character I had planned I’m showcasing some loot worthy pieces the planned character would have liked to lift. All the items in this post come from Billy The Tree, a company I have worked with for a while. This time I have chosen to focus on wrist candy as I feel that it has been a very long time since I have done this.

(cute holiday penguin from clipartist.net)
I thought this week would be a great time to do something a little different. I’m not going to review anything, tell you how I feel about an amazing famous woman, try to sell you anything, or nerdgasm (LOL) in this post. Today is Christmas & while we don’t all celebrate the same holidays (I celebrate Yule) this is a wonderful time to wish you all an epic holiday seaon & a magical new year. I hope those of you celebrating Christmas read this tomorrow, after spending today with those you hold most dear.
I have included a couple of video links. The first one is from a YouTuber that I enjoy a lot, this video is her holiday special in her character Phyllis & has some wonderful collaborative inclusions. The second is a Foamy rant about being ungrateful. Some of you may be familiar with the squirrelly wrath, but this particular episode reminds us all not to get too consumed with materialism. ❤

Recently I met a truly incredible jewelry designer on Google+. Her designs take my breath away & I will certainly be making a purchase as soon as I can! Her name is Alin Yerushalmi & she’s from Israel, you can find her shop on etsy, follow the link here. I put together 9 selections to help illustrate some of the majestic treasures she makes. All of these spectacular lovelies are hand made too. Another wonderful thing, Alin has given me a coupon code to distribute to you my lovely readers CORIN15 (it must be in capital letters) it will give you %15 off your order. I’m so excited to bring you this deal! The items are made with gold, silver, pearls & Swarovski crystals, the metal varies based on the selection, so do the colors of the beautiful crystals. The pearls are marvelous too. 😀

I’m a big dreamer myself, but like most of us I have to pull my mind from the clouds & take care of the more practical issues so that I have a chance of achieving those dreams. Suffice to say that just managing a boutique is not enough to bring in the sales, putting the word out there, as often as possible, is the only way to attract the attention of new customers.
Naturally wearing your jewelry when you go out is an important step. That helps to break the ice with potential clients who are in your local area. Having business cards to hand out when people ask about the treasures you’re wearing can be very helpful too.
Social media is a valuable tool to utilize for the health & success of your boutique. Many people access these sites & having a presence on a number of them has the possibility of bringing your business more viewers who may chose to make purchases from you or even join up to do business with you.
When people do decide that they want to work with you to sell jewelry from their own boutiques it can be immensely helpful to them to keep in touch. Should they be just starting out they may need some of the benefit of your experience to guide them down the path of effective marketing.
If your looking to purchase some beautiful jewelry and/or wanting to make some extra money from home, come look me up at my boutique Orbb’s Fashion. Happy winter solstice!!!
A fond howdy to all you lovely readers! In this blog I will be discussing a variety of topics about jewelry, style & fashion. I will also be talking about creating & marketing your own boutique.
Wanted to introduce myself a bit in my first post. I have had my Kitsy Lane boutique for about 2 years now & though there have been rocky times I do have many insights to share from what I have learned through that time.
I hope you look forward to my postings as much as I do!
Check out my boutique Orbb’s Fashion!
