Fantastical Friday: Fantasy Month!

Some of you may be aware of how much I love my game, SmallWorlds, and some of you may not. Despite my passion for it I have never actually done a post about it & I thought it was time to change that. Now this particular game is a virtual world which makes it different from every other game I play & I have been part of its community since early July 2011. There are so many epic things to do & see, like the amazing missions crafted by players & some of the art, also created by players, is incredible (I wish I had those skills, LOL).

This year July was Fantasy Month, while the previous 2 years this themed month has been in August. I’ve compiled a few of my avatar’s most fantastical outfits to show you some of the versatility & hilarious themed pieces (still feel like I might should have taken a snap of one of my fairy outfits, but there is always next year). Many of you are likely to recognize my avatar, as I use her as my personal image all over my social media.

Magnificent Monday: Jane Seymour

Magnificent Monday

The lovely Jane Seymour first came to my attention as a Bond Girl when she played Solitaire in Live and Let Die. Sure the film was before my time, but thanks to my father I believe I was a Bond fan in utero. I do have to admit that my fondness for the films goes more into the earlier works before Roger Moore gained the starring role, but he wasn’t a bad Bond. It is also to be noted that Jane is the celebrity ambassador for Childhelp which works very diligently to assist victims of child abuse & neglect. So, she is inspiring on so many levels. ❤

Jane Seymour

As a Bond femme fatale we expect a certain amount to elegance & Seymour sure has not disappointed. What I have observed of her personal style she frequently has a very sophisticated jewelry look with flairs of flamboyance. It wasn’t very difficult to compile a small wishlist based on this criterion from Billy the Tree, which as many of you may know is one of my favorite online jewelry stores.

Fantastical Friday: Random Goth Thoughts

Fantastical FridayDragon clip art attribution link

With October a few short months (okay, feels like it’s taking all of eternity LOL) away & trying to prep for matrimony my mind has been filled with dark & dreamy visions. So naturally much of my wishful searches at various shops have been with this general theme. I’ve found some pretty epic things from many, many different shops that I would so love to have, but I’m trying to stay on task so I haven’t actually been letting my impulses buy, buy, buy like they want, lol. That you may, if you’re into that sort of thing, gaze fondly at but a few of the dark treasures I have uncovered I made a list of a small assortment of items of interest found at Walmart that I have been considering (but mostly holding myself in check with every ounce of will I can muster, lol). While none of these items are expensive, it’s just far to easy to nickle & dime my accounts to death & now is the time for restraint with the remodeling & impending nuptials, so for now window shopping is the best I can do. 😉

Magnificent Monday: Lori Loughlin

Magnificent Monday

So often I speak of my childhood as it was shaped by the many influences present at the time, well, today is no different, lol. Lori was introduced as Rebecca in the beginning of season 2 of Full House, a show I watched a LOT of in my youth. The series reminded me a lot of my own family, with a few obvious differences like my mother practically raising us on her own & there being more of us, though only 4 at the time it began. Inspiration drawn from this beautiful woman who was very much a part of my early years is easy to come by with what seems like her effortless elegance.

Drawing from this inspiration I have found a few items at Styles For Less that I feel echo some of this icon of my childhood’s style. This is a new shop for me to be working with, but they have an amazing selection of beautiful things to check out. 😉

Fantastical Friday: Goth Wedding Decor

t’s natural that I would continue to muse on this topic, lol. Some of these beautiful pieces, from Amazon, I will not be able to order in time, with so much being funneled into the big day & the remodel of the room that is to be ours. These are so great that I will likely have to make some later orders for various reasons. I especially love the little wooden coffins & think it might be fun to paint them, perhaps using them as pencil boxes & cute gifts (okay, you probably already knew I was weird, LOL). The candle stand, candelabra & candlesticks are also striking my fancy a LOT so they are also among my wishlist. I think I will have to get one of those lanterns, it’s just plain awesome & in my colors too. So here’s a list of things that would be amazing to have for a goth wedding.

Magnificent Monday: Samantha Fox

Magnificent Monday

This sultry pop icon has also been known to do some acting & is even a former glamour model. No small wonder that a lot of style inspiration can be drawn from her appearances & amazing work. I’m particularly fond of the punk style common to the ’80s which some consider garish today but is quite nostalgic to me.

Finding a few lovely pieces along the lines that this English beauty might also enjoy took a little effort, but I am fond of the results of my shopping around. All of the pieces featured today were found at Chicnova, an advertiser I recently accepted an offer to affiliate with & so far I am rather enjoying their selection of pretties. 😉
